Tim Barnett is the President of Industrial PC, Inc where he has maintained his role as the Owner/Operator since founding the company in 1996. That’s right – we have been around for 3 decades; how else do you think we were able to snag the IndustrialPC.com domain?!
Going waaay back (sorry Tim), Tim graduated from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, IN after which he studied Biomedical Engineering at Indiana University, Indianapolis.
Early in his career, Tim worked as a Biomedical Technician at Methodist Hospitals, then migrated to the Medical Information Systems department, and then later as a Rep for Ziatech. In 1996, Tim identified a need in the Industrial Computing space for a dependable and resourceful distributor of industrial computing systems.
He leveraged his experience and passion for technology, combined with his dedication to delivering a one-of-a-kind customer experience and support, to launch Industrial PC 30 years ago.

Over the past three decades, Tim has faced every challenge you can imagine and has always found ways to help minimize the impact for our customers, including the recent COVID and supply chain chaos. The latest bump in the road is tariffs. And, as always, Tim is taking it head-on.
His approach to navigating these changes with minimal disruption to your operations and bottom line has even earned him the nickname, Tim the Tariff Buster.
Industrial PC, Inc. has earned an incredible reputation worldwide, maintaining its family-owned and operated approach while working with customers such as Disney, NASA, Rolls, and many others.
Tim is a proud member of the Association for Advancing Automation and you can often find him attending leading industry-specific events around the country, such as the Automate Show and Embedded World-NA.
