Nuvo-11000 series is Neousys’ flagship rugged embedded computer built on the Intel® Core™ Ultra 200S series platform. Powered by TSMC’s advanced 3nm photolithography, the latest Core™ Ultra 200S processors offer up to 24 cores/ 24 threads with higher CPU clock rates, and an integrated neural processing unit (NPU) for AI acceleration. This results in a 1.2x boost in CPU performance and AI computing capabilities of up to 36 TOPs. Combined with DDR5-6400 memory and PCIe Gen5 support, it delivers a significant improvement in computing power, enhancing performance across diverse industrial applications.

Nuvo-11000 series provides comprehensive I/O capabilities for industrial applications. It includes five 2.5Gb and a 1Gb Ethernet ports with optional PoE+ capability, one optional 10GbE port for high-speed data transfer or 10Gb industrial camera, and eight USB 3.2 Gen2 ports for USB3 cameras. Additionally, an upgraded M.2 Gen5x4 slot supports the latest NVMe SSDs, achieving read/ write speeds over 11,000 MB/s and the system also features 4x isolated DI and 4x isolated DO for automation and machine vision applications.

For extended functionality, the series supports add-on cards via its expansion Cassette, proprietary MezIO® interface, and internal mini-PCIe slots, ensuring adaptability to diverse application requirements. The advanced Intel® Core™ Ultra 200S processors also bring better energy efficiency to the Nuvo-11000 platform. Compared to the previous generation, they can deliver nearly 120% the performance while consuming only 80% of the power*. This is the AI acceleration in the Nuvo-11000 — the expansion cassette is non-GPU, so there's no discrete card option. 36 TOPS covers most classification and detection work. If you need a GPU, look at the Nuvo-11588 on the same platform.

No Nuvo-11000 takes a graphics card — the E's cassette is non-GPU. The Nuvo-11160GC is Neousys' answer: the same Core Ultra 200S platform, the same footprint, the same I/O and the same part-number scheme, in a taller chassis with a PCIe x16 cassette built for an NVIDIA RTX card.

Four common applications for the Nuvo-11000 series

Multi-camera inspection

Four to six GigE cameras, powered over the same cable that carries the image. The PoE+ budget is the binding constraint here, not the processor — and a frame grabber needs somewhere to live.

Best option Nuvo-11006E-PoE $1,848 Four of the six ports deliver 802.3at PoE+, leaving two for uplink, plus one PCIe slot for the grabber. Step up to -PoE-10G at $1,975 if you're pushing aggregated images upstream.

On-device AI inference

Defect classification or object detection running locally, with no round trip to a server. The 36 TOPS NPU does this without an add-in card — so the cheapest chassis is usually the right one.

Best option Nuvo-11006LP $1,604 If your model needs a discrete GPU, no Nuvo-11000 will take one — look at the Nuvo-11588 instead. Send us the model and we'll tell you which side of that line you're on.

In-vehicle and mobile robotics

Mounted in a cab, an AGV or a service body, running off vehicle power. The 8–48 V input takes 12 or 24 V directly, and optional ignition control gives you a clean shutdown instead of a hard cut on every key-off.

Best option Nuvo-11006LP $1,604 79 mm tall, MIL-STD-810H rated, and the front drive pulls out at end of shift without opening the box. Tighter on space? The Nuvo-11531 is 63 mm.

Machine control and fieldbus

Talking to PLCs, drives and sensors inside a control cabinet, usually on a DIN rail. Isolated DIO is on board, but a fieldbus or motion card needs a slot — and nothing in the cabinet should have a fan to clean.

Best option Nuvo-11006E $1,673 One PCIe slot for the fieldbus or motion card, 8-channel isolated DIO on board, DIN-rail mount available. Drop to the LP at $1,604 if you don't need the slot.

When the Nuvo-9000 might be the better option:

  • You need a discrete GPU. No Nuvo-11000 takes one. The dual-slot Nuvo-9000DE does — and on the newer platform, so does the Nuvo-11588, which is smaller and cheaper than either. Worth comparing all three before you decide.
  • Heavily threaded workloads. A 13th or 14th-Gen Nuvo-9000 gives you 32 threads against the Nuvo-11000's 24. If your application scales with threads rather than clock speed or AI inference, the older platform can still win.
  • Legacy PCI cards. Only the Nuvo-9000P takes a conventional PCI card. If you're carrying forward a motion controller or frame grabber that isn't available in PCIe, the Nuvo-11000 has nowhere to put it.
  • An existing validated deployment. If you've already qualified a Nuvo-9000 image and you're adding units to a running line, matching the fleet is usually worth more than the performance delta.

MezIO® expansion

Add I/O without spending the PCIe slot

MezIO® is Neousys' mezzanine connector — a board-to-board interface inside the chassis that carries signals and power to a small add-on module. It's how you add serial ports, isolated I/O, extra Ethernet or ignition control without touching the expansion cassette, which matters most on the LP, where there isn't one.

Every Nuvo-11000 has one MezIO slot, so you pick a single module. If you need two of these functions at once, tell us and we'll work out whether one goes on a PCIe card instead.

Ignition control depends on your chassis

This is the one MezIO choice the chassis decides for you. The E takes MezIO-V20-EP; the LP takes MezIO-V20 or V21, which also give you a mini-PCIe socket the E version doesn't. If ignition control is in your build, settle the chassis first.

Cabling isn't included

The serial modules break out over Cbl-S68M-8DB9M-50CM to eight DB-9 connectors. The DIO module uses Cbl-S68M-S68M-100CM, usually with a TB-10 terminal board. We'll put the right ones on your quote.

Which Nuvo-11000 model should I choose?

There are two chassis and they're $69 apart, so this is rarely a budget decision. Take the E if you need a PCIe slot for an add-in card. Take the LP if you'd rather have a hot-swap front drive bay and 11 mm less height.

What do “-PoE” and “-PoE-10G” mean in the part number?

They're the network options. No suffix means neither. -PoE turns four of the six Ethernet ports into 802.3at PoE+ sharing a 100 W budget, and leaves two standard ports for uplink. Those four are what power GigE cameras over the same cable that carries the image. -PoE-10G adds a 10GBASE-T port on top of that.

10GbE is only offered alongside PoE+, so there's no -10G part on its own. Build a part number ↑

Can the Nuvo-11000 run a discrete GPU?

No. The Nuvo-11000E's expansion cassette is non-GPU, and the LP has no cassette at all. Nothing in this series takes a graphics card.

For a lot of edge workloads that's fine — the integrated 36 TOPS NPU handles most classification and detection models without a card. But if you've benchmarked your model and it needs a GPU, the Nuvo-11588-PoE runs the same Core Ultra 200S processor, supports a discrete GPU, and costs less than any Nuvo-11000. Send us the model and the frame rate you need and we'll tell you which one fits.

Should I buy the Nuvo-11000 or the Nuvo-9000?

Usually the Nuvo-11000 — it adds a 36 TOPS NPU, PCIe Gen5 storage and faster memory at lower power draw. But the Nuvo-9000 isn't discontinued and isn't strictly slower.

Three things push the other way: on 13th or 14th-Gen processors the 9000 offers 32 threads against the 11000's 24, its dual-slot DE cassette takes a discrete GPU, and the 9000P is the only one with a legacy PCI slot. See the full comparison ↑

How is the Nuvo-11000 different from the Nuvo-11501 or Nuvo-11531?

Same Intel Core Ultra 200S processor, smaller machine. The 11501 and 11531 use a 212 × 165 mm chassis against the Nuvo-11000's 240 × 225 mm, and they're cheaper — starting at $1,150.

What you give up is headroom: 64 GB of memory instead of 128 GB, a 60 °C maximum operating temperature instead of 70 °C, and no PCIe expansion cassette. Compare the platform family ↓
